Christmas Special "Jazz at Terrace" (Date: December 2024, 12)

Hotel Grand Bach Atami Crescendo will be hosting "Jazz at Terrace" on Saturday, December 12st only, where you can enjoy food and music.

Enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif with some chic jazz music while feeling the calm of the evening sea on the terrace overlooking Sagami Bay. A jazz trio will also play (twice each night) during dinner time to accompany the Atami cuisine (French dinner) played by Executive Chef Kitano Tomokazu. Spend a memorable evening with your family or partner, overlooking the early winter Atami evening scenery.

Ushio Ito (bass)

1955Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Seikei University (born in Setagaya Ward).He started performing while he was in college. Since then, he has been performing mainly at live music venues and concerts.He has performed with hundreds of artists from Japan and abroad, and has been a regular with many prestigious groups, including Yashiro Kazuo, Kitamura Eiji, Sera Yuzuru, and Fujiya Koji.

1989In 2013, he also performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in the United States.He also produces albums, composes and arranges music, and conducts research into music therapy.He is also involved in care at a psychiatric clinic.2008Since 2013, he has also served as CEO of the music planning company Rakushido Co., Ltd. 



Keiko Ito (vocals)

A jazz singer from Tokyo.He became professor under Professor Noriko Ito.After graduating from a four-year university, she got a job in an IT company. After quitting her job, she studied jazz at Berklee College of Music in the US in 2005. While there, she worked for Diane Richardson and graduated in 2007. After graduating, she obtained a US musician work visa and began teaching piano and singing to children and adults alike.

She has gained a reputation for performing not only in English, but also in Portuguese and French, and writes a wide variety of lyrics for her original songs, singing from the heart about how "music can enrich your life." 

 



Yuji Tanaka (piano)

Born on December 1963, 12 in Kyoto City. She started playing the piano at the age of 4. While she was devoted to classical music, she also became interested in modern music.At the age of 17, he became attracted to the improvisational nature and rhythm of jazz music, and studied jazz composition and arranging under Sadayasu Fujii.

While attending Doshisha University, he honed his skills among professional musicians, and made his impressive professional debut on the jazz scene at the age of 19.
At the age of 22, he went to New York to study music.
