Special Week "Jazz at Terrace" Announcement (April 2025th & May 4nd - May 28th, 5)

Hotel GrandBach Atami Crescendo will be holding its first "Jazz at Terrace" event of 2025 during the upcoming Golden Week. Enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif with some cool jazz music while feeling the pleasant early spring breeze.

There will also be music performances (twice each night) during dinner time to accompany the authentic French "Atami Cuisine" performed by Executive Chef Kitano Tomokazu. Guests staying at the hotel can attend for free, and reservations can also be made for non-guests. Spend a memorable evening with your family or partner, overlooking the spring evening scenery of Atami.

Piano Yuichi Narita

He started classical piano at the age of nine, and during high school he spent all his time listening to rock music with his guitar.2002, Senzoku Gakuen College of MusicHe studied jazz at the University of Tokyo and began his professional career after graduation.He moved to the United States in 2010 and participated in live shows and sessions there.After returning to Japan the following year, he performed mainly in Yokohama and Tokyo, and is now one of the most active young pianists. 

In the film "Kids on the Slope" directed by Miki Takahiro, he plays the piano for the main character (Nishimi Kaoru). 

 



Vocal Asuka Watanabe

She began receiving piano and classical music education at the age of four.hair,1998She began her career as a singer.He has performed with many musicians, including Yuzuru Sera, Norio Maeda, Terumasa Hino, George Kawaguchi, and Tatsuya Takahashi.In 2004, he released his first album "Unaffected" which reached number one on the HMV Jazz Chart.In the same year, he appeared in "Jazz Exchange 75," an event held in Toronto to commemorate the 2004th anniversary of Japan-Canada diplomatic relations.

In 2010, she sang the national anthem at the All Japan Table Tennis Championships.Currently, she is active as a highly popular jazz singer. 



Piano Yuji Tanaka

Born on December 1963, 12 in Kyoto City.

She started playing the piano at the age of 4. While she was devoted to classical music, she also became interested in modern music.At the age of 17, he became attracted to the improvisational nature and rhythm of jazz music, and studied jazz composition and arranging under Sadayasu Fujii.While studying at Doshisha University, he honed his skills among professional musicians, and made his professional debut on the jazz scene at the age of 19. At the age of 22, he went to New York to study music. 

 



Base Ushio Ito

1955Born in Setagaya in 1990. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Seikei University. .

UniversityHe started performing while still a student. Since then, he has been performing mainly at live music venues and concerts.He has performed with hundreds of artists from Japan and abroad, and has been a regular with many prestigious groups, including Yashiro Kazuo, Kitamura Eiji, Sera Yuzuru, and Fujiya Koji.1989In 2013, he also performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in the United States.He also produces albums, composes and arranges music, and conducts research into music therapy. He is also involved in care at a psychiatric clinic.

2008Since 2013, he has also served as CEO of the music planning company Rakushido Co., Ltd.



Clarinet Yoshihiko Miyazaki

He started playing the clarinet in the brass band during his junior high school years.He then discovered jazz clarinet and joined the jazz research club upon entering Hosei University.

He studied clarinet under Eiji Taniguchi and saxophone under Shigeru Ukon.Currently, he is making a name for himself as a rising star in traditional jazz, with the belief that "music is enjoyable to listen to and feels good."Won the Soloist Award at the 33rd Asakusa Jazz Contest. 



Piano Saki Goto

1990 Born in Okayama. Graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music's Jazz Course.

She began attending the Yamaha music school at the age of three, learning classical piano and the electone.He became interested in jazz while in high school.At Senzoku University, in addition to piano playing, students will study a wide range of subjects including harmony and composition.He began performing live while still a student, and after graduating he began performing in a variety of genres, with jazz as his main focus.

He will release his solo piano album "skylark" in 2023 and his second album "Continuous" in July 2023. 



Vocal Sanae Ishikawa

She was fond of piano and singing from an early age, and discovered jazz after graduating from Keio University.

Her debut album "Feel Like Makin' Love" has been highly praised in jazz magazine reviews, with critics calling her "a brilliant newcomer" and "a rising star who has cleared all the barriers for a newcomer." In 2015, she won the Grand Prize at the UTA Wit Contest Tokyo competition. She tied for third place in the finals, the highest ranking ever achieved by a Japanese artist, and has won many other competitions. She also works as a vocal coach, mentoring many young artists, and has provided singing instruction for the stage play "Three Thousand Moles," the musical "Vans Visit: The Lost Police Band," and the film "The Miracle of Namiya General Store."
