[Event Information] Christmas Jazz & Bubbles

Due to renovations, Hotel GrandBach Atami Crescendo will be closed from Friday, September 9st to Saturday, December 1nd. We will reopen on Sunday, December 12rd, so please spend a relaxing time listening to the music of Bach in our newly renovated rooms.

The first event after the reopening will be held on Friday, December 12nd, where you can enjoy a jazz trio (piano, bass, vocals) to liven up the Christmas weekend.

Warm wine cocktails and non-alcoholic apple juice cocktails will be served fresh from the live station. In addition, a Christmas dinner course will be served only on this day, offering gorgeous flavors that allow you to fully enjoy local ingredients.

[Artist Profile]

Piano: Hiroshi Tanaka

Born in 1963. Started classical piano lessons at the age of 5. At 17, he became fascinated with jazz music and studied composition and arrangement under Sadayasu Fujii. He made his professional debut at 19 and went to the US to study at 23. After returning to Japan, he studied with many famous groups such as Eric Gale (gt) Group and Hubert Laws (Fl) Group. At 28, he went to Spain to study. Tanaka Yuji's musicality can be said to be an art that skillfully integrates a wide variety of musical elements. His magnificent music is a perfect fusion of refined harmony sense, musical vocabulary, improvisation techniques, and the vividness and sensuality of the rhythms of Spanish music... His original sound world and playing grab the hearts of his listeners and never let go, making him an internationally acclaimed pianist. He is a professor in the School of Arts and Culture at J. F. Oberlin University.

Vocals: Naoko Takahashi

She started playing the piano at the age of three and began her career as a jazz singer while studying oil painting at Musashino Art University.
He has also released three LP titles through the dance unit M-musiq.
In 2010, she released a duet song with Tsunoda Hiro called "Shinayaka na Kaze."
Participated in "JAZZ VOCAL SHOWCASE vol.2012" in 2.
She has also left her mark on numerous other singing careers, including in commercials and recordings.
In 2014, she starred in the play "The Bride of Star City."
Her voice is praised for its clear and noble quality, and she has gained support from a wide range of people.



Bass: Ushio ITOH

Born in Setagaya Ward in 1955. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Seikei University.
He began performing while still in college.
Since then, he has performed with hundreds of artists from Japan and abroad, mainly at live houses and concerts, and has been a regular with many prestigious groups, including Yashiro Kazuo, Kitamura Eiji, Sera Yuzuru, and Fujiya Koji.
In 1989, he also performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in the United States.
He also produces albums, composes and arranges music, conducts research into music therapy, and is involved in care at a psychiatric clinic.
Since 2008, he has also served as CEO of the music planning company Rakushido Co., Ltd.
