Enjoy the precious Amagi yuzu oranges from this region in our additive-free jam.

There are many varieties of vegetables and fruits throughout Japan that have been cultivated in local areas for a long time.

In this age of mass consumption, it has become difficult to obtain a stable supply of produce due to poor production efficiency and changing consumer tastes, and it is said that many varieties have disappeared due to a mismatch with the market.

"Amagi Yuko" is a type of ancient Japanese citrus fruit that has been popular as a winter fruit around the New Year. Although small, it has a sweet and refreshing fragrance, and was once planted in large numbers in the gardens of farmers in Izu.
Although they are now disappearing, it has been discovered that there are still ancient trees over 100 years old remaining in the Amagi Yugashima Nagano and Taihei Kakigi areas.

This additive-free citrus jam is made from Amagi yuzu citrus, and was given to us by Asada Farm in Izu Amagi, which is committed to natural farming (no chemical fertilizers, no pesticides, no animal compost). Our hotel uses this precious jam for breakfast and also sells a small amount as a souvenir.

Because it is a precious variety, there are only a few of them, and because it is a limited local resource, it is carefully cultivated.
It has a subtle yet powerful flavor, a taste that can only be found here.
