Times are passing, times are coming. This year's Golden Week will be colored with wine
From Heisei to Reiwa.
During this timeless Golden Week, our hotel has prepared a selection of premium wines for you to enjoy while feeling nostalgic for the time that has passed and looking forward to the time to come.
Chef sommelier Fujie will introduce the concept as well.
1) A taste of reminiscence: A deep appreciation of the maturity of an era
"This is a grape wine born in 1989. We selected this wine in the hope that you will enjoy the taste of this wine that has watched over an era, and that it will provide you with a wonderful moment filled with emotions.
The weather in Bordeaux in 1989 was favorable, resulting in a record-breaking harvest. The great wines of Bordeaux have now been aged for 30 years and are now ready to drink.
■ Château Leoville Lascase
1989
Bottle 115,000 yen (tax included)
This is a clean and pure style of wine that blends the ripeness and sweetness of the grapes, the fruitiness of black cherries, and the fragrant aroma of the oak.It is said that the flavor will reach its peak from around 2008 and can be enjoyed until around 2028.
■ Château Dauzac
1989
Bottle 48,000 yen (tax included)
It has an elegant and complex aroma with notes of ripe red fruit, floral and spicy notes.
2) Taste that colors the new era: Think of the melody of blessings
"This wine will make you feel excited about the new era, and is perfect for enjoying with dinner at our hotel. The wine has a name related to music, so I think it adds a story that is unique to us, and makes the scene even more meaningful."
■ Opus One
Bottle 95,000 yen (tax included)
Opus is a musical term meaning a work or work number, so it means "(work) No. 1." This name is said to contain the idea that "a bottle of wine is like a symphony, a glass is like a melody."
■ Overture
Bottle 55,000 yen (tax included)
The wine is called "Overture." It was a kind of second line of Opus One, but it is hard to get hold of and highly valuable.
*All wines are available in limited quantities and will be sold out once they are gone. We recommend that you make a reservation in advance.
