Mutsumi Ito
Born in Mie Prefecture, she started playing the flute at the age of 11.
Graduated from the Nagoya University of Arts, Faculty of Music. With the university's recommendation, he has performed in many debut concerts, including the YAMAHA Newcomer Concert.
In 2012, she moved to Germany to study at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst). After graduating with a “sehr gut” from the graduate school, she went on to study traverso flute at the university’s Department of Early Music.
Currently, he is engaged in a wide range of activities, including solo and chamber music performances on both the modern flute and the traverso flute, as well as occasional and guest appearances with orchestras, and is also actively training the next generation of musicians at a music school near Frankfurt.
She has studied flute under Ota Michiyo, Saito Yoshio, Kawauchi Nakako, Takagi Naoki, and Prof. Henner Eppel, piccolo under Thaddeus Watson, and traverso flute under Prof. Karl Kaiser.
Shinnosuke Inugai
Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. Started attending Yamaha music classes at age 4 and began playing the piano at age 6. Participated in the Junior Original Concert overseas tours and performed many of his own compositions.
He entered Toho Gakuen School of Music and studied at the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy. During his time at the school, he won first place in the piano division of the 1st Tokyo Music Competition. This led him to begin full-scale performance activities. He graduated from the university at the top of his class and gave a performance in front of the Emperor at Tokagakudo. After completing his studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music, he moved to Germany.
She studied under Catherine Vickers at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt. In 2013, she completed the German State Diploma in Music. Her activities in Frankfurt include serving as the official accompanist for the Georg Solti International Conducting Competition at the Alte Oper, as well as performing at the Alte Oper, a duo concert at the Goethehaus, and concerts at the Japanese Culture and Language Center, Sparkasse Frankfurt Bank, Goethe University "Kirche am Campus", Steinwayhaus Frankfurt, and C. Bechstein Centren. Recently, she has been regularly performing at the Japanese Film Festival (Nippon Connection) and the Frankfurt Festeburggemeinde.
His previous awards include second place in the high school student division of the 53rd All Japan Student Music Competition in Tokyo, first place in the piano division of the 2st Tokyo Music Competition, second place and the Spanish Music Award at the Jaén Prize International Piano Competition (Spain), and third place and the Audience Award at the Beethoven International Competition (Germany).
Currently, he is based in Germany and performs mainly in Europe, and regularly gives recitals in Japan. He is active as a soloist, but also plays with many musicians as a chamber musician. He also contributes to the spread of classical music in Africa and the Middle East. He has taught the next generation of musicians at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt, and is also involved in teaching master classes. He has been invited to music festivals such as the Bonn Beethoven Festival, the Ojika International Music Festival (Nagasaki), the Asago International Music Festival (Hyogo), and the International Music Weeks Salzburg. In addition to performing with major orchestras in Japan, he has performed with orchestras in Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, Jordan, and other countries. Last year, he released the CD "Inspiration" from the label Genuin classics in Leipzig, Germany.
