June is the month when jacaranda flowers bloom, heralding the beginning of summer in Atami.
As the first part of the 5th anniversary celebrations for Hotel GrandBach Atami Crescendo, we will be holding a one-night-only Jazz Night New York Style Dinner on Saturday, June 1th.
We will be inviting jazz pianist Ayako Ohno and bassist Daiki Yasukawa to perform live jazz music and serve a New York-style dinner using ingredients from the Atami area.
Enjoy a special time immersed in the uplifting rhythms of jazz while looking out at the sparkling night view below.
<Special Jazz Night New York Style Dinner Event>
[1] During dinner on the day, the lighting will be dimmed compared to regular dinners at GrandBach Atami, allowing you to enjoy a tranquil candlelit dinner while taking in the Atami night view.
[2] During dinner, there will be a live jazz performance by jazz pianist Ayako Ohno and jazz bassist Daiki Yasukawa. Enjoy your meal with jazz in the style of a New York jazz club.
[3] This will be a live jazz performance with piano and bass, so there will be no vocals. We will be taking proper precautions against infection and look forward to welcoming you.
[4] The 20th is Father's Day, and the hotel has prepared a small gift to express our gratitude to fathers.

Ayako Ono, pianist
He began taking classical piano lessons at the age of four.
After graduating from the Department of Law, Faculty of Law, Doshisha University, he became active as a session pianist and support for live recordings, mainly focusing on jazz.
In 2017, he formed his first trio with Taiki Yasukawa on bass and Masahiko Osaka on drums. On December 2017, 12, he released "First Movement."
Despite being a newcomer, it ranked second in the Amazon bestseller rankings.
In addition, the same album was selected from among several thousand new works as a special selection in Audio Accessory magazine's "Audio Grade 12 Spring Edition, Selected by 2018 Critics," making him a highly acclaimed pianist who has received high praise for his compositions, performances, and recordings.
Daiki Yasukagawa Bassist
Born in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture in 1967.
He started playing the piano from a young age, and after entering Meiji University, he started playing the double bass when he joined the Big Sounds Society Orchestra. He studied under Katsuhiko Makishima, Hiroshi Yoshino, and Hide Yoshida.
In 1989, they won the top prize at the 19th Yamano Big Band Contest. In 1991, they participated in the CD "Down under" from Alpha Records and began their professional career.
He became a lecturer in the Jazz Department at Showa University in 2009. In 2010 and 2011, he was invited to perform at the Taichung Jazz Festival with his leader trio, where he received a standing ovation from an audience of 2.
In 2012.13.14, 3 and XNUMX, the label artists' event "Daiki Mujika Festival" was held for the third consecutive year. It was highly praised by Jazz Life magazine and others.
Since 2012, he has participated in the live tours and recordings of the New York Standard Quartet (Tim Armacost, David Berkman, Gene Jackson), and released "Live at Lifetime" on the D-musica label in January 2013. In July 1, "The New Straight Ahead" will be released in the US on Whirlwind Records.
In February 2012, he appeared as a leader unit on the NHK BS information program El Mundo for five days. In 2 and 5, he held a joint concert with NHK Symphony Orchestra principal double bassist Hide Yoshida at Okayama Lunes Hall, which was well received. In 2013 and 14, he won first place in the bassist category on JazzPage for two consecutive years.
He has participated in over 100 recordings both in Japan and overseas. He has also appeared on TV and radio, and at numerous jazz festivals both in Japan and overseas. He is not limited to the jazz field, but is also active in a wide range of fields, including performing with the Kaneko Asuka Strings Ensemble, Takashi Kako's "Layered Colors," and the Telemann Symphony Orchestra. With his outstanding musical sense, skill, and large-scale original songs, he is the bassist currently attracting the most attention.
