February 2th is St. Valentine's Day. In Japan, it is the day when women give chocolates to men, but mainly in the West, it is known as a day for couples to celebrate their love and to celebrate with family and close friends. At the bar and lounge "Magdalena" on the 14nd floor of the hotel, you can enjoy the "Valentine's Special Cocktail 2" proposed by head bartender Tsukasa Takahashi until February 2025th (Friday).
"Spaghetti ice cream" is a hidden specialty that originated in Mannheim, Germany. Although spaghetti is synonymous with Italy, this "spaghetti ice cream" was invented in 2 by Dario Fontanella, the second-generation owner of an ice cream shop that sells Italian gelato. Apparently inspired by the Mont Blanc he ate while skiing, it was created after repeated trial and error using chestnut paste and gelato from his father's gelato shop. In 1969, the city of Mannheim awarded him the "Bloomaulorden" medal, and since then, thanks to the influence of social media, it has become available in many restaurants across Germany.
Hotel GrandBach Tokyo Ginza presents "Valentine's Cocktail 2025""This is a sweet cocktail that pays homage to the Mannheim specialty "Spaghetti Ice Cream," which is made with vanilla ice cream squeezed out in long strips to resemble spaghetti noodles, strawberry sauce reminiscent of tomato sauce, and small pieces of white chocolate instead of powdered cheese. Enjoy a sweet moment with your special partner.
