Mr. Kawakubo

Since winning first place at the Sarasate International Violin Competition in 2001 and top prize in the violin category at the Tchaikovsky International Music Competition in 2002, she has continued to play a wide range of repertoire from classical to contemporary music as a leading soloist both in Japan and abroad.
At a young age, he has performed with major North American orchestras and gained a wealth of stage experience. In Japan, he made his debut in 1997 as a soloist with the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Chung Myung-Whun. Since then, he has performed with various orchestras both in Japan and abroad, and has been highly praised for his advanced technique and deep musicality that respects the dignity of the works. In recent years, he has toured Germany as a duo with Kosuge Masaru, and has also demonstrated his talent as a concert producer, planning his own concerts in Washington and other places. He is actively involved not only in recitals but also in chamber music, continuing to pursue the ultimate ensemble. In recent years, in parallel with his activities in Europe and the United States, he has been performing widely in Japan, collaborating with renowned conductors such as P. Järvi, P. Inkinen, Tadaaki Otaka, Kazuhiro Koizumi, and Toshiaki Umeda, as well as with major Japanese orchestras such as the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also been active in a solo and chamber music project with Masaru Kosuge, and in a trio with Mari Endo and Yurie Miura.
He is also actively involved in mentoring the next generation, and was appointed professor at Toho Gakuen School of Music (Toyama campus) in 2018. He began playing the violin at the age of five, and studied under R. Lipsett, D. DeLay, Masao Kawasaki, and Z. Bron.



Piano accompaniment Ayako Uehara

She won first place in the piano category of the 12th Tchaikovsky International Competition, becoming the first woman and Japanese to do so in history. She also won the Fresh Artist Award at the 18th Nippon Steel Music Awards. She has performed as a soloist with many orchestras in Japan and abroad under the baton of such conductors as Janowski, Noseda, Luigi, Lazarev, Petrenko, Seiji Ozawa, Kenichiro Kobayashi, Tadaaki Otaka, and Norichika Iimori.

In December 2004, she performed with the NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dutoit, and was selected as the best soloist of 12. Three CDs have been released worldwide by EMI Classics, and four have been released by King Records, including "Rachmaninoff 2004 Preludes," "Ayako Uehara's Mozart & Tchaikovsky," and "13th Anniversary Concert Live Album."
