"Hotel GrandBach" is a hotel based on the concept of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach (J.S. Bach, 1685-1750), "the Father of Music,". Music of Bach, who was born in Germany 340 years ago, continues to fascinate the world today. This artwork traces the life of Bach, inspired by the photos of the cities where he lived.

J.S. Bach's Prime of Life: Mühlhausen, Weimar, Köthen

Bach rose steadily through the ranks, working as a church organist and court musician. He married, started a family, and was blessed with many children and students. The ancient city of Weimar, where Goethe and Schiller were also active, and Köthen, where he served as court conductor, became the center of Bach's activities during this period.

His first wife, Maria Barbara, died in Köthen, but he stayed with his second wife, Anna Magdalena, until the end. While he composed masterpieces such as "Brandenburg Concertos" (Brandenburgische Konzerte, BWVXNUMX-XNUMX), his fame as an organist was also known worldwide, and he was invited to appraise many famous organs. When he played the organ at the Frauenkirche in Halle, he was treated to a feast that included his specialty, asparagus.
