While studying at Toho Gakuen College of Music, she won the Nishinippon Music Award. After studying abroad at the Berlin University of the Arts, she made her debut at the Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall in March 2012. 【profile】
Born in Nicaragua, she began playing piano in the United States at the age of five.
After returning to Japan, he won first place at the All Japan Student Music Competition. While studying at Toho Gakuen School of Music, he won the West Japan Music Award and studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin. After winning the Long-Thibaud International Competition at the age of 1, he has been performing at the Japanese Embassy in Paris, Radio France, various parts of the former East and West Germany, and even in the United States.
He won first prize at the Jaen, Alfredo Casella and Polino international piano competitions.
He began performing in Japan around 1997, and in 2000 he received the Aoyama Music Prize and the 28th Japan Chopin Society Prize. He has released 10 solo albums to date, all of which have been highly praised. In 2006 he started his own recital series "A Room with Liszt," focusing mainly on Liszt's works, and this year marks the 18th anniversary. He is highly trusted by famous artists, and in recent years he has expanded his field of activity as a chamber musician.
He has performed with major orchestras across the country. He is a professor at Tokyo University of the Arts and teaches the next generation of musicians while also performing extensively.
