Leipzig - Germany's leading musical city, where J.S. Bach served as Thomaskantor (church musician at St. Thomas Church, Leipzig) from 1723 until his death in 1750. The Leipzig Bach Festival (Bachfest Leipzig) is held here every year in early summer. In June last year, the Bach Collegium Japan (BCJ; Music Director: Masaaki Suzuki), with whom we have a partnership agreement, became the first Japanese group to perform the closing concert of the festival, which attracted much attention.
Inspired by the music festivals that color the summer in Germany, the cocktail for summer 2024 is a tropical twist on the pina colada. It also contains asparagus, which is in season in Germany at this time of year. Please enjoy this cocktail with a food and music theme.
