Haruo Uesugi

At the age of 14, she won the PTNA G-class Gold Award and Grand Prix, and was a medalist at the Maria Canals International Competition, among other awards.
She made her CD debut with EMI at the age of 20. In addition to solo recitals at the Suntory Hall and Osaka Symphony Hall, she has performed with major orchestras such as the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, and Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, as well as with Akiko Suwanai, Yoshiko Kawamoto, Mari Fujiwara, N. Boriso-Glebsky, Maki Mori, Mutsumi Hatano, G. Sima (former exclusive singer at the Vienna State Opera), and A. Skocic (former cellist for the Vienna State Opera and Vienna Philharmonic).
The CD albums "The Well-Tempered Clavier Volume 1" and "Goldberg Variations" were selected as special albums by the "Record Geijutsu" magazine.
The latter was also nominated for a 2018 Record Academy Award.
Furthermore, his concert with viola player Yoshiko Kawamoto was named one of the "Best Ten Concerts of 2018" (Ongaku no Tomo magazine).
He has also translated a book on singing accompaniment ("Piano Accompaniment Method" by M. Katz, published by Ongaku no Tomosha).
Graduated from Hokkaido University School of Medicine and completed the Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Tokyo. Specialist in neurology. Doctor of Medicine. Has served as chief physician of the neurology department at a general hospital in Hokkaido, hospital director, and clinical professor at Sapporo Medical University.
